We’re proud to say that we often hear back from our happy customers, and their love for our products is something that we’ll never take for granted. The care and attention to detail we put into looking after every single bird we have here on our small family farm near Braintree in Essex is a big deal for us, and we’re pleased that our customers really value this.
But it is also great when the wider industry recognises us too – which is why we are particularly proud to have just had yet another wonderful night at the British Turkey Awards.
In 2016 we’ve swept the board, winning in three categories that really show the breadth and quality of the turkey products we offer to our customers. The products we provide to our Foodservice clients are a key part of what we offer here at our farm, and so to take the top prizes in both the Best Foodservice Profit Sector and the Best Foodservice Cost Sector is particularly pleasing.
Our delicious Farmhouse Butter Basted Cooked Turkey Wing picked up the award for the Profit Sector, while our hugely popular English Rose Easy Carve Special Turkey was named as the best product in the industry for the Foodservice Cost Sector.
The 2016 British Turkey Awards were held at a glittering event in the Sheraton Grand Hotel on Park Lane in London. It was a busy evening for William and the farm team, as it was a great chance to also catch up with people from right across our industry – everyone from farmers and manufacturers though to our friends in the Foodservice business.
The expert panel who had the great job of tasting our delicious products included Tina Betts of the Healthy Food Guide, Lee Maycock who is Vice Chairman Craft Guild of Chefs and Sheila Eggleston, the Food & Drink Editor for Cost Sector Catering. To be recognised by industry leaders like these is fantastic, but we were particularly delighted that the final member of the panel – a consumer, Janet Joy – was also a huge fan of what we do.
